THE OWNER
The founder of seven11 Productions, Chris Toltzman, has been a broadcasting professional for more than 17 years. While pursuing his degree in Broadcast Technology and Management, Chris began a career as a disk jockey at several small radio stations in Southwest Wisconsin. After college, he worked for a year in Dubuque, Iowa performing a mid-day on-air shift while handling the station's promotions duties.
However, it wasn't until Chris moved to Rockford, IL that he found his true passion: television and video production. For two years he gained valuable hands-on experience learning all aspects of live television production at 23 WIFR, the CBS affiliate in Rockford before being promoted to Promotions Director, a title he held for a year.
Thanks to his work ethic, creativity and experience Chris landed a job as Promotions Producer at CLTV News, a 24 Hour all-news cable channel owned by the Chicago Tribune Company. Chief among his achievements was an Emmy Award in 1999 for a promotional campaign Chris created for a Chicago Bears television show on CLTV. His Emmy Award marked the first CLTV had won for their station's promotions.
After CLTV, Chris came back to the Rockford area as a commercial producer for a respected advertising agency before returning to 23 WIFR, the place that gave him his start in video years before. Now he was Creative Services Director with a staff of two producers and managing all aspects of commercial production and station promotions. In 2003 Chris won his second Emmy Award for a promotion created for the Rockford IceHogs hockey team, the first Emmy Award ever given to a Rockford television station in the history of the award.
Today, Chris Toltzman is one of the area's best known video and commercial producers. With a reputation for only the highest quality of work, an outstanding knowledge of video production and a sense of creative style second to none, Chris and his company, seven11 Productions, have become leaders in video production throughout the Stateline area.
